How long is the course?

The group anger management classes involve:

  • an initial 60 minutes one-to-one consultation. The purpose is for you to get a feel for how I work and get started with your learning while waiting for your group course dates. It is also to enable me to assess whether I consider the programme is suitable for your needs and to get an idea of the particular issues you face.
  • the group course itself – run over 2 non-consecutive days to give you chance to integrate your learning between the days. The timings each day are 9am to 5pm.
  • three 60 minute one-to-one sessions, each approximately a week apart, to consolidate and further tailor your learning.

The group days take place in London.  Ideally the individual consultations will be face to face (also in London) but some or all of them can be undertaken over the telephone instead.

What does it cost?

The initial consultation is £80. I will refund the fee if I take the view the programme is not suitable for your needs. The combined cost of the 2 day group course and the three 60 minute individual sessions is £640.

If you require concessionary rates, please get in contact.

What is the class format?

The course content is both theoretical and practical. It has an experiential focus. Time is spent together in the full group and in smaller groups or doing individual work.

I am a very private person. Can you say anything to allay my concerns?

You do not have to say or do anything whilst you are on the course. There will be a group agreement that anything shared is to be treated confidentially.

What sorts of people attend the courses?

The courses are attended by a fairly equal mixture of men and women, of varied ages and backgrounds.  Their shared concern is the way they react to feeling angry and being in conflict.

I am not sure about learning in a group. Do you offer the course on a 1 to 1 basis?

For some, the prospect of learning in a group is daunting. I therefore also offer access to the Stop Seeing Red material through a series of 10 one-to-one sessions, each an hour in length, for a fee of £800.  For those wanting to take their learning further, subsequent sessions (at £80 per hour) can be booked on a one off basis.  Booking a total of at least 14 sessions is recommended.
